St. Francis Xavier University
St. Francis Xavier University is a small, coeducational, primarily undergraduate university located in Nova Scotia, Canada. StFX offers a variety of programs in the arts, sciences, and business at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. StFX is known for its vital academic programs, competitive athletics, and vibrant campus life. The university’s motto is “Nihil Ultra” or “Nothing Beyond,” and its school colours are green and white. StFX was founded in 1853 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Arichat. The university is named after St. Francis Xavier, a 16th-century Jesuit saint who was one of the founders of the Society of Jesus. StFX is a member of the Atlantic University Sport conference and competes in various sports, including hockey, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
